Riverhead School District has won the Suffolk County Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) award, in large part due because of Project Fit America. On June 11th 2014, County Executive Bellone and County Legislature Al Krupski presented the Riverhead School District with a Proclamation recognizing their outstanding programs in health and wellness—while also recognizing PBMC, the Suffolk County Lions and Brickman landscaping for their efforts in bringing PFA to Riverhead. A lively group of students was also there to demonstrate the equipment for all present.
