Our Mission: Everyone gets our very best, because your health is our passion

Peconic Bay Medical Center is a team of nearly 1,500 caring professionals who are working together to address the full range of health and wellness needs of the people of Riverhead and the surrounding communities, as well as all of Suffolk County and Eastern Long Island.

Peconic Bay Medical Center is committed to improving the health of our communities by providing quality, comprehensive and compassionate care to whomever is in need. Our vision as an organization and as individual caregivers is to embrace all of our community’s health and wellness needs, one patient at a time.

As a comprehensive continuum of care, Peconic Bay Medical Center provides a growing range of leading-edge services and resources focused on every stage of life:

We take our mission statement to provide quality, comprehensive and compassionate care to the communities we serve very seriously, and we pledge to do our very best to deliver outstanding, quality care to you and your loved ones. It's what we do, and it's who we are.

  • From pre-natal care and the moment of birth... upwards of 400 babies are born each year in our newly renovated birthing suites.
  • To your active, athletic years... one of Long Island's most highly regarded centers for orthopaedic surgery, Peconic Bay Medical Center has been designated as a Center of Excellence for Hip and Knee Replacement Surgery, and is also a MBSAQIP accredited center for bariatric surgery.
  • To caring for your family... our growing network of community-based physician practices includes immediate care and a wealth of other primary care resources at our growing Manorville campus as well as expanding multidisciplinary offices in Center Moriches, Greenport, Shirley, and Shoreham.
  • To providing advanced community hospital capabilities and resources... with a major emergency department expansion on the near horizon, Peconic Bay Medical Center offers life-saving emergency care with our Level III Trauma Center, Interventional Cardiac Catheterization Suites, and NYS Designated Stroke Center, plus comprehensive cardiac care in our Kanas Regional Heart Center, and leading-edge surgical facilities rated as a national Center of Excellence for Robotic Surgery.
  • To providing the region's most comprehensive home care, rehabilitation services and end-of-life care... our home care agency serves all of Eastern Suffolk County; our in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation programs are very highly regarded; and our Pegasus House Palliative Care Program focuses on the special needs of patients and families during the most serious illnesses, providing pain management, comfort care and end-of-life care in a comforting family-friendly setting. At Peconic Bay Medical Center, we embrace all of our community’s health and wellness needs, one patient at a time. Our mission is make sure everyone gets our very best, because your health is our passion. It's what we do, and it's who we are.
