Dual board-certified in Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery as well as Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Memon was trained at the Mayo Clinic for OBGYN residency and received her fellowship training in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery at Johns Hopkins. She specializes in advanced treatment of pelvic floor conditions including pelvic organ prolapse, urinary and fecal incontinence, overactive bladder syndrome, painful bladder syndrome, vesicovaginal and rectovaginal fistulas and other pelvic floor disorders. She is an expert in the use of minimally invasive vaginal and DaVinci Robotic Surgery System.

Chair of Pediatrics at Peconic Bay Medical Center, Dr. Marcano-Benfante brings decades of experience in providing expert compassionate care to pediatric patients and overseeing programs designed to improve care for children with complex medical issues.

Board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Marcano-Benfante was fellowship- trained in Pediatric Critical Care at Schneider Children’s Hospital in New Hyde Park NY, where she also served her Pediatric Residency. She holds certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Basic Life Support, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support from the American Heart Association, as well as a Controlled Substance Certificate from the US DOJ Drug Enforcement Administration. She earned her MD at St. George’s School of Medicine. She also holds an MBA in Health Services Management from Hofstra University and a BS in Biology from Fordham University.
