Peconic Bay Medical Center’s expert pulmonary rehab team will custom-tailor a therapy program specifically to your individual condition and objectives.
Our program is unique because it is run by both a physical therapist and a respiratory therapist. The physical therapist will customize an exercise program for you while the respiratory therapist provides education on oxygen and respiratory medications.
The program consists of exercise classes two to three times per week under the supervision of the cardiopulmonary staff. While exercising, vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure and oxygen levels will be monitored.
The Peconic Bay Medical Center Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program has earned AACVPR Program Certification by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
