Pegasus House Palliative Care Program

Peconic Bay Medical Center's Pegasus House Palliative Care Program is dedicated to offering an enhanced level of pain or symptom management and compassionate care to patients facing challenging health issues, in the comfort of a family-friendly setting.

Not limited to hospice care patients, Palliative Care can be provided to anyone across any disease spectrum, utilizing a multidisciplinary approach to achieve and sustain a patient’s well-being and meet the psychological and spiritual needs of patients and their families.

The Palliative Care Program seeks to ease pain and suffering while providing the best possible quality of life for patients afflicted with chronic or life-limiting illnesses. It embraces the patient's family, because not only are family members key to providing care and comfort to the patient, but also they are in need of care and comfort themselves.
