What is the application procedure?
All applications must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Applications will not be accepted by mail or email. Selected candidates will be interviewed virtually. Residents are matched exclusively through the National Residency Match Program (NRMP).
What are the USMLE/ COMLEX requirements?
Applicants must have passed their USMLE Steps 1, 2 and CS* or COMLEX Level 1, 2 and PE* by the second attempt (one failure maximum per step).
*The 2020-2021 USMLE Step 2 CS and COMLEX 2 PE requirements may be waived based on testing availability or medical school graduation requirements.
How many letters of recommendation will I need?
Applicants must have 3 recommendation letters from physicians.
When is the deadline for applications?
Applications are reviewed until interview slots are filled.
I graduated from medical school 5 yrs ago, am I eligible to apply?
Yes, Peconic Bay Medical Center does not have a graduation year cut off for any of its training programs.
