Dr. Robert Rubin specializes in care for children from infancy through adolescence

RIVERHEAD, NY – Adding greater depth and expertise to its comprehensive continuum of care, Peconic Bay Medical Center (PBMC) has appointed Dr. Robert Rubin to its staff as its new Director of Ambulatory Pediatric Medicine. A board-certified specialist in Pediatrics, Dr. Rubin had been Director of the Newborn Nursery and an attending physician in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Maimonides Infant’s and Children’s Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.

“We are excited to have Dr. Rubin spearhead our Ambulatory Pediatric services,” said Dr. Richard Kubiak, PBMC’s Chief Medical Director.  “His expertise in neonatal care will be a significant contribution to our continuum of care. Our youngest patients will now have the benefit of a dedicated specialist who has great experience in pediatric emergency medicine as well as the full spectrum of conditions of childhood through adolescence.”

“In adding Dr. Rubin to our staff, we are responding to our region’s population growth and also to the concern all parents have for the health and well-being of their children,” said Andrew Mitchell, FACHE, President and CEO of PBMC and the entire Peconic Bay Medical Center continuum of care.

A graduate of the State University of New York College at Geneseo, Dr. Rubin received his advanced pediatric residency training at Brooklyn’s Maimonides Medical Center, where he served as Pediatric Chief Resident before joining the staff of the Maimonides Infant’s and Children’s Hospital.

A member of the American Academy of Pediatricians, Dr. Rubin is also a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians. In addition to his board certification in pediatrics, he holds certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and as a Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRSP) instructor.

Dr. Rubin is now accepting new patients and is available for consultations. His office is located at 496 County Rd 111, Manorville, NY 11949. To make an appointment, call (631) 405-3200.
