RIVERHEAD, NY – Peconic Bay Medical Center (PBMC) appreciates the outpouring of support from the Riverhead community including most recently the Long Island Farm Bureau’s tractor parade in front of the hospital on Tuesday evening.
“From receiving donations of food for our staff to handwritten cards and messages to drive-by shows of support, the hardworking and dedicated staff of Peconic Bay Medical Center appreciates the community showing its support of their efforts to battle COVID-19 on the East End,” said Andrew Mitchell, president and CEO of Peconic Bay Medical Center.
The Long Island Farm Bureau has had a long history with the hospital, including being instrumental in securing the land that PBMC resides on.
“The farm community is very thankful for all the hard work the Peconic Bay Medical Center staff is doing on behalf of all of the residents of Riverhead,” said Rob Caroenter, director at Long Island Farm Bureau. “Words can’t describe what they sacrifice and what they’re doing to help the people of Riverhead.”
