PECONIC BAY, NY ― Peconic Bay Medical Center has received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines® Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus and the Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. The award recognizes the hospital’s commitment to ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines based on the latest scientific evidence.
RIVERHEAD, NY – When Peconic Bay Medical Center (PBMC) opened the doors of its cardiac catheterization laboratory in October of 2017, Doreen Cooper, who has worked in the Billing Department at PBMC since 2007, told her husband, “If you ever have a heart attack, we’ll be able to take care of you right here in Riverhead,” since he had two stents put in at Southside Hospital just a few years prior.
The Caregivers Center, one of the first hospital-based programs on Long Island, will provide a place where family caregivers can find respite, support, and resources as they care for their loved ones in the hospital.
RIVERHEAD, NY – Peconic Bay Medical Center collaborated with Project Fit America (PFA) to bring an innovative fitness education program to Long Island. In 2013, we became a sponsor hospital to award this grant to five elementary schools in the Riverhead Central School District.
Peconic Bay Medical Center and the PBMC Health Continuum, quickly growing its robotic surgery program, is the only hospital in Eastern Suffolk County on Long Island offering robotic surgery and providing single-incision gallbladder removal.
