RIVERHEAD, NY – Suffolk County Health Commissioner, Dr. James Tomarken signed a pledge with Peconic Bay Medical Center today to reach a shared goal of 80% screened for colorectal cancer by 2018. Colorectal Cancer is a leading cause of cancer-related deaths among men and women in the United States. Each year in New York State, more than 10,000 people develop colorectal cancer and more than 3,500 New Yorkers die from the disease. Screening helps save lives.

RIVERHEAD, NY – JABS, located in Cutchogue, has raised $5,445 toward a goal of $30,000. Through a partnership with the Mattituck Lions and Peconic Bay Medical Center, JABS will help bring Project Fit America to the North Fork: Greenport and Cutchogue East Elementary schools.

Mitchell, FACHE has been selected to speak at the 2016 Annual Congress on Leadership of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) in Chicago, Illinois. ACHE is the national organization of healthcare executives with over 27,000 members. Mitchell will be joined by Betsy C.
