Mitchell, FACHE has been selected to speak at the 2016 Annual Congress on Leadership of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) in Chicago, Illinois. ACHE is the national organization of healthcare executives with over 27,000 members. Mitchell will be joined by Betsy C. Taylor, the principal of Accordant Philanthropy, and will present “Using Philanthropy as a Change Agent.”

RIVERHEAD, NY – Amy E. Loeb, EdD(c), MBA, RN-BC, NE-BC has been selected to be the next Vice President-Chief Nursing Officer of Peconic Bay Medical Center (PBMC) effective December 2015. Ms. Loeb will succeed Gerard Zunno, RN, MSN who will be retiring at year end after 14 years of dedicated service and key leadership at PBMC.

RIVERHEAD, NY – The state has given final approval for Peconic Bay Medical Center (PBMC) to join the North Shore-LIJ Health System. State Health Commissioner Howard Zucker has approved recommendations from the New York State Public Health and Health Planning Council (PHHPC) to dissolve the East End Health Alliance that included PBMC, and Southampton and Eastern Long Island hospitals, and approved a separate measure making the North Shore-LIJ Health System the active parent of PBMC.
