Peconic Bay Medical Center (PBMC) will host a Narcan distribution session for NYS Overdose Awareness Day at the Israel Family Ambulatory Center in Greenport to inform the community of how to respond to an opioid overdose with naloxone following recent fentanyl-laced cocaine deaths on the North Fork. Life-threatening substances laced in drugs like cocaine and marijuana have become a severe public health threat, and PBMC aims to prepare the community with life-saving techniques.
