b'Meet Our New ChiefOur Caregivers Center Continues Nursing Officer! to ServeWorking at Peconic Bay Medical Center is like being part of a familyand our new Chief Nursing Officer, Christine Kippley, is thrilled to be welcomed into the fold.Chris attended Northern Illinois Universitys nursing program and received her BSN in 1990. She spent many years growing her career, and her family, in the greater Chicagoland area. Her time in the Midwest includes seven years of bedside nursing at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. During that time, she completed her MBA at Loyola University, making her well-prepared for a career change. At her next position managing a diabetes center, Chris became a Certified Diabetes Educatorpursing her passion for healthcare and continuing her education.When Chris, her husband and three children decided to relocate to New York, she knew she wanted to join a healthcare system that would provide ample opportunities for growth and education. I wanted to go back to nursing at the bedside and into a Nurse Manager position. I found the Northwell system to be a wonderful environment for taking my career to the next level. I started at Plainview Hospital, and eventually transferred to Huntington Hospital a year later, Chris said. At Huntington, I wasIn November of 2018, we launched the promoted to Director of Case Management. I was lucky to meet Amy Loeb at afirst hospital-based Caregivers Center leadership conference during that time. on Long Islandand so much has happened since the day we opened our Amy reached out to Chris when our position for Chief Nursing Officer becamedoors.
