Peconic Bay Medical Center School of Radiologic Technology Students take 3rd Place at Annual ConferenceFor the first time in our history, Frank Zaleski, program director of the School of Radiologic Technology, recently gathered nine of his thirteen students to attend the 2021 New York State Society of Radiologic Sciences Conference in Corning, New York. The conference provides a fantastic opportunity for educators, professionals, and students to learn more about their field and network with colleagues. Due to COVID concerns, this was the first time in two years that the conference could be held in person. As part of the conference, there was a quiz bowl. All schools in the state were invited to join. The students were required to answer an initial round of 40 questionsranging on all topics of Radiologic Technologyending with a lightning round of 40 additional questions. No calculators were allowed, and the questions wereCONGRATULATIONS TO OUR WINNERS:incredibly challenging. Our PBMC group dubbed themselves the Kilovoltage Peeps and designed team shirts for the competition.
